I Rolls Dolo Pt. 1 (Carrier Neutral)
so after...
3 years...
52,500 minutes...
38,500 texts...
500,000+ flips...
not including that fling i had with the SLVR, i am officially sidekick-less.
it wasnt that i couldnt stand the phone (like i hear many former SK users say), and it wasnt that i was pissed that you couldn't do more...
but i wanted more.
and really.. there was no one better to turn to.. or should i say Curve to than...

so now i'm part of the BB family. is it any more fitting that Big Boi got a BlackBerry?
i really made this decision in the span of about 2 days. for a while i was thinkin about upgradin to the Sidekick LX, but all it is is a slightly larger screen and thinner device. GREAT.
is that really worth a 1 year ext and $400?
It's been 2 days that i've had this phone now and im still pretty much clueless as to all its capabilities and what i can do with it.
It does have alot more expandibility than the sidekick, more functionality, -worse keyboard (im sure it just takes some getting used to), not to mention the fact that I had to downgrade my plan to keep it at the same price because the BB unlimited data plan dont come wit texts. but oh well. i dont have to worry about constant SK freezing anymore, not being able to get calls, not worrying if my "G" will come back on soon or whether I'll be stuck on 2 dots forever .
It's just simple math really.. here's how it breaks down:
i dont know if you can really see all the things there, and i really dont feel like resizing the image any better, but its comparing a Sk3, BB, and SK-LX. You can pretty much judge it by the amount of check marks. haha.
so needless to say, minus that little month and half or so at the end of last year ( a weird period in my life where I actually found myself really wanting a SLVR, getting it, then realizing that I really didnt want anything to do with the phone) , i'm without a sidekick.
so now that im writing this, im trying to think of my progression of cell phones since i started.. a visual history.

1.) Bell Atlantic Mobile (now VZW)- Nokia 2110
703-967-2564 (?)
- my very first phone ever. it definitely wasnt the coolest phone, but it was pretty cool that I could make a call anywhere I wanted.
didnt really think much about it. i dont even really remember what my plan was, momz paid for it. i think i went a good 9 months with this phone.

2.) Sprint Wireless - Samsung SGH-500
703-855-4812
- i really thought i was the shit with this phone. a tight flip phone, MY first real phone (that first nokia was my moms that she jus dumped onto me). had it at the very end of senior year (all mah friends was jealous) and it was also the first phone that I had in Norfolk. Maybe a blessing in disguise that I lost it one day running from Webb to BAL. I realized in class I didnt have it but had to wait thru the entire class to retrace my steps and try and find it. needless to say, it was nowhere.
3.) AT&T Wireless - Nokia 8210
703-623-9854
I had this phone for a minute.. prolly around 2 years. i went thru all sorts of different phases wit this phone. i was the first to have music ringtones on my phone (Darude - Sandstrom) in the monobit sound. haha. i had the matrix slide faceplate on it. had the flashing blue lights, it had it all. What with all the customization, the phone ended up dying, but i really did ALOT with this phone, it was great while it lasted, but all good things do come to an end.
Coming Soon.. The End of my days with AT&T, and The T-Mobile Era..
